Calibrating your Emax EZ Pilot is a relatively simple process. First, make sure you have correctly installed the EZ Pilot hardware and software onto your computer.
Next, turn on your drone and connect it to your computer via USB. Launch the EZ Pilot App and go to the "Calibration" tab. Here, you will have the option to calibrate your gyroscope. This setting is adjustable and can be adjusted to your preferences. To begin the gyroscope calibration, simply press the "Start" button. Your drone will then begin rotating around the 3 axes while the software stabilizes it. Follow the instructions on the software while your drone is calibrating.
Once the gyroscope is calibrated, you can move onto calibrating your accelerometer. To begin this process, press the "Start" button. You then need to hold your drone around 10cm off of a flat surface and allow it to stabilize for ten seconds. After these ten seconds have passed, your accelerometer is successfully calibrated.
Finally, make sure your magnetometer has a clear view of the sky. The software will alert you if something is blocking it. Once this is done, press the "Start" button and the magnetometer calibration can begin. Rotate your drone around the three axes while the software stabilizes it.
Congratulations, your EZ Pilot is now calibrated and ready to use!
